One of my favorite things to do is Logo design...especially when it involves crisp lines and simplicity. Macy gave me the color pallette and I went from there. Mustard yellow (thinly around the circle) and then kept with all red (she has red hair...so she wanted something that reflected her in a creative way)

Finished up a customized poster for Angelique (I designed her blog a few months back...) and she LOVES the sort of Marie Antoinette/vintage zoey feel...she provided me with some inspiration and this is what I came up with! Plus, it has somewhat of a "boutiquey" feel which I really do love! I think I have found a new design niche...ha. Its definitely not for everyone, but I love the colors and the overall feel of it!

I always love seeing what companies do with the logos I design for them. This was a logo I did for Provo Towers rehab center and they had it put onto a waterfall backdrop. So neat!

Designed a fun new logo for So Lucky...a company that specializes in gluten free food for special occasions! Love the meaning behind their business, and behind their company name. Heather and her partners were such a joy to work with. :-)

Nothin' more exhilarating then finishing up a big project and being fully satisfied. (this happens a lot less then I'd like!) But this blog design was one of those projects. It was a lot of fun, and I learned a lot of new things...which is why I love what I do. Alexa and Kirby wanted something very clean and fresh. THey gave me a whole smorgasbord of inspiration, and this is what I came up with!

I designed a new header for Sara, I tried to incorporate a lot of the inspirational photos she sent over for me to go off of (lots of black and white with touches of red and grey)

Finished up Ashley's custom blog...and I am very happy with the way it turned out! She wanted something black and white with a touch of green! Then she wanted her sidebars to be black and white circles...simple enough right?! :-)
We cleaned up her blog a bit, de-clutterized it and organized all of her posts into a nice horizontal navigation bar!

Designed a fun logo for a friend who is starting a small business with her mom and grandma called Rosefields (the site isn't up and running yet...buts it's for cute designer eco-friendly bags you can take to the grocery store rather then using paper or plastic!)

And here is the business card design...I kept with the swirly theme and added a little touch to the corner...oh these would be so fantastic if they were letterpressed! I seriously need a letterpress machine! :-) Or maybe I just want one...but who's to say right?! ha.

Just finished up a logo for Kelly over at Smith & Jones co.

She wanted it to be very classic (something she could keep for a while) and this is the final design!

I really do think the grey and black make for an extremely classic logo if I do say so myself :-)

Just finished up a nice, very monochromatic blog. Simple but makes a statement (black always does!) with cute round social icons that adds a bit of femininity.

Annie wanted something that looked similar to my Color Issue blog...and so that is what I went off of.

I received an email from a soon to be mother of the groom. She wanted to give her soon to be daughter in law a special gift. Something that had meaning and sentimental value...so she had me design a poster with her sons bday, brides bday, their first date, engagement date and wedding date. What a cute idea huh?!

Just finished a blog design for the Gee's...Have you ever heard of G-Raw the clothing company? Well I haven't until a couple days ago...when Angelique and her hubby love to wear G-Raw clothing line and it just so happens that their last name is Gee! What are the odds?!

She wanted her blog to replicate the overall feel of the G-Raw website. So this is what I came up with! The middle of the large iconic G says "Gee-Stars" instead of G-Raw...that was Angelique's idea...

If you knew Sadie, you would know she loves her dog Nova. Which happens to be a hound. A big, huge blubbery dog ( I can say that b/c its my dog to, well in the sense that its our family dog but Sadie has pretty much taken nova on as her own ha)

She is up at school and decided to join the blogging world to keep us all up to date on her fun filled college life...so I designed a header for her that was a personal and fun!

I really must say...this has been one of my favorite logos to work on. Probably b/c it has to do with babies which is always a favorite of mine...and b/c I loved working with Jen...and because I love the colors and the 'feel' of the final design!

After a lot of tweeks here and there on my part... then brainstorming and bouncing ideas off of one another Jen made a final decision and this was the final outcome. She lives over in beautiful Hawaii and is starting up this birth lounge business, and hopes to be able to franchise in the future...which would be so awesome!

Anyways thanks Jen for being such a great client and for helping me get my creative juices flowing!

"oh the places we'll go" is the saying right next to the little bicycle...and designing this was sure a fun place to venture off to!

Hillary wanted something very clean and simple. We ended up going in a completely different direction then what we thought she wanted...and I am so glad we did.

This is such a simple but sophisticated look...the letters stand for each person in her family and let me tell ya...she has a beautiful little family!

I had the opportunity to design a custom song poster for Carly. This is a gift for her friend, and its one of her favorite songs! Love this song..and just love the fun, bright colors! One of my favorite little trademarks, on these posters that I design, is the small image at the bottom in between the song title and the writer...its usually something that ties in with the song...just a tiny little icon. Adds a little touch :-) This one I decided to do a little heart inside a word bubble "love is spoken here".

Put a little flyer together...the logo was not something I designed, and this was the best file that the guy gave me (hence the pixelated image) but it was the best I could do on such short notice...

on a side note: these trampoline jumpy things are so much fun! If you are in this area...a birthday party or any party at this place would be a blast!!

I just finished up a very special Song Poster. This is for a man whose wife has stage 4 lung cancer. The second verse of Come, Come Ye Saints is her favorite hymn. When I heard about him and his wife my heart just broke. But they seem to have high hopes. And I couldn't have been happier to design something that hopefully was very meaningful for the both of them. Its such a beautiful song, with such a great message. Why should we mourn or think our lot is hard? All is well, all is well.

Just finished a nice little logo and header design for Mary. She wrote the book The Green Diet and wanted me to give her a new fresh look to her blog...and I couldn't have been happier to help out.

We decided to go with some photography and illustration for her header, and it worked out quite nicely.

Thanks Mary...and for all of you who haven't seen the book...she is sold out but a new revised version is coming next year! :-) So in the meantime check out her site!

I had the opportunity to design a flyer for a fundraiser for this sweet sweet special little baby, Ruby Jane. Her mom Ani, said that she has birds in her nursery so I wanted to add a touch of birds as well. I cannot tell you how much it breaks my heart to see any baby go through so much suffering, and in just a small amount of time. Her and her parents strength is something incredibly admirable...and hopefully soon soon she will receive a new liver...please if you'd like to donate contact Sarah!

I designed a poster for Trish...she gave me a plethora (love that word) of colors to choose from and she wanted it fun and colorful...so i decided to use all the colors she sent me. Mint, coral, yellow, turquoise, grey. It was a great color pallet to work with...so without further adieu here is the final product :-)

Getting married? Well my friend Ashley is teaming up with another sweet gal Brooke and starting their very own wedding and event planning biz.

A perfect pear...its got a nice ring to it. And we have been working very hard on gathering ideas and finally coming up with the final product for their company. I designed a logo with two cute pears...in love :-) and from there I was able to design their blog and business cards. They wanted it to be very sophisticated but playful. A good combo indeed! :-)

Paige wanted a crisper, easy flowing blog layout...so all I did was just use one of the templates given in blogger and then adjusted a few margins, colors...designed a simple header and added a nice touch in the side bar with a few "henna" designs that she loved.

Remember back in highschool when people ran for office and it was such a big deal!

Those were the good ole' days huh!?

Well I was able to travel back in time and design a flyer for Shayna who is running for ASB President. The nominating convention (which is when a handful of students get together and vote on who should be on the final ballet) is themed "colleges" this year. So Shayna wanted her design to be something around BYU...so obviously Jimmer HAD to be in there somehow.

Rachael McCall photography needed an overhaul.

She wanted a new look...a new logo and an overall new "feel" to coincide with her FANTASTIC photography skills.

Initially she was thinking a "bird" design for her logo...but birds are a little overdone these days so we brainstormed and came up with a "giraffe". It has sentimental value and means something and I think that is SO important when you are designing an icon for your business. But thats just me. :-)

She likes the simplicity of Amelia Lyons blog and she she loved this one black and white illustration of a bird inside of a circle...so I put two and two together and came up with this.

Finished up a logo for a healthcare facility in Provo.

They just redecorated their whole interior and wanted a new look for their logo.

Something simple and sophisticated. So to match the new interior colors of their decor we went with baby blue and brown...It was a fun design project.

This was such a fun and liberating project. For one because it was the first logo that I felt very "okay" with once I was done...I guess i need to be easier on myself but I was totally happy with the finished product once it was done and finished! And two...I am obsessed with alice lane furniture and so I went off a chair I saw on their blog to incorporate into Su's logo.

Best part is Su was such a joy to work with.

I helped design a new logo and sidebar image for her upcoming shop.

She wanted a design for her website that could be incorporated and match with her blog button and logo...which is the big swirly design behind her logo.

Browns, tans and yellows (for a bit of color) seemed perfectly fitting considering the name of her business.

Just finished up a header for Mary-kate...I designed her preschool blog a LOOOONG time ago...just when I was getting my feet wet with this design stuff...she gaveme the chance to do something for her!

Finally finished up a blog that has been in the works for a while...having a new born baby and trying to find time to really put the pedal to the medal with designing can be slightly....challenging. But in a good way!

BCxFour blog stands for (border collie times four). A wonderful woman who has four border collies and blogs about their great adventures...roundin' up sheep and all! Carolynn wanted a blog that completely represents her dogs since that is what the blog is about! A little more masculine and bulky, which is slightly different then the last blogs I have designed...so it was fun to turn the tables a bit and go for a different overall look!

Carolynn...it has been a joy to work with ya! We make a good team ey?! HOpe you like...no...LOVE the finishing product...I know I do!

Have I mentioned just how much I love designing? Mostly because I get to meet so many wonderful people via-blogging. This blog has been one of my favorites to design, simply because of the meaning behind it.

Tamara describes the meaning behind her blog as this:

"Smiling for grandma is, simply put, a forum for me to tell you about different things in my life that have given or are currently giving me a feeling of “smiling for grandma”…the warmness i feel inside as I remember her love for me. it is that feeling of her love that I honor and allow to guide me on a daily basis. if i can do whatever it is that i’m contemplating with a feeling of “smiling for grandma” on the inside then i know it’s ok. "

She wanted something that symbolized her grandma, which I added wings and a crown...and she also wanted something wispy with vibrant colors. This is what I came up with, with the help of Tamara as well.

She loved a certain look she saw on tiny prints but didn't want to pay the price...so I went off of that inspiration and designed one with a similar look but with my little twist! :-)

Its always such a nice working experience when you just love the ones you are working with!

That was the case with Christine...she was so accommodating with me having a baby and everything the time frame got somewhat of an "extension". She was so easy going and just a joy to work with.

Her blog is fruit in season and she posts so many wonderful uplifting words plus she has great recommendations on books, schooling, etc.

Anyways I based her blog design around the orange tree...considering the title...and kept it very clean and simple. It turned out just the way we wanted...

A while back I finished a logo for Parenting Rocks. A privately owned business that counsels parents and families on how to create a better family environment. Initially I had designed a logo with the name "parents empowered" however, after the fact, we realized there was already a business with that title. So it was "redo" and this is the name that was not taken, and that had a bit of a fun kick to it!

Oh my, I forget how much I LOVE designing blogs...especially when the client is so easy and great to work with.

Just finished up a project with my friend Ani Taylor!

She wanted something fresh, simple and feminine...good combo huh?!

The logo I designed, was inspired by a frame she has in her family room, hung up on her wall. Lots of swirls and I love the shape. Then I incorporated a vintage camera design to sit inside...

vintage always makes things better!

For the side bars...she had suggested an origami shape...so I sort of went off that. There are so many little details to this blog that I love. The shadowing, the dotted border, the crisp colors...there really is a lot that goes into a good design...but it pays off!

My sweet friend Carly, who is having a little baby boy...(so excited for her!)

wanted a song poster.

She had me customize it with the song "love at home"

a family favorite of mine as well...my mom would always sing it to us five fighting sisters when we were not getting along. fitting huh!? haha

Designed a logo and business card for John.

He was in a rush and needed something quick...crunch time!

I have realized that most times I work better under pressure...is that a good thing or bad thing?

Either way it got done and this was the end product!

Just finished up a logo for Dan...the Handy Man.

He wanted oranges, reds, blues and greens...so I sort of incorporated a little of everything.

He also wanted it to be sort of "cartooney".

After a few mock ups and roughs this is the final product and I am really pleased with the way it turned out! Probably one of my favorites as far as more of a corporate feeling logo.

Good luck Dan the Handy Man! Now go hammer somethin! :-)

a pool party invitation for a bunch of 8-12 year old girls.

Oh I just love clean and fresh blogs...

which is why I loved designing this simple yet satisfying blog for Serenity Lane.

She gave me examples of some interior design that she liked and that was my inspiration.

She also wanted it to be simple with subtle splashes of reds, greens and blues...

and so I "subtly" did just that.

I then customized her sidebars to match the yellow flower in the vase on her header...

Finally posting the Paradise Valley Health Care Logo I finished up

This facility goes hand in hand with Balboa Health Care (same ownership)

so it seemed fitting to keep the logos slightly similar in style and color.

This facility has a huge oak tree right in the front of the building, and it is sort of an icon for the building and where it sits. So the administrator wanted to base the new logo around that. Here's what I came up with. It got the stamp of approval!

He wanted the tree to somehow play a large roll in the logo design. Simple but bold.

Designed a very simple menu front and back for Balboa Health Care.

It's very corporate and simple lines, but that is what they wanted. Just a clean fresh menu for their patients to order food from. I kind of got hungry while designing it...haha whats new?!

Just finished up an "I Love To See the Temple" Poster for my friend Rachel upon special request. She really loved this song and wanted it for her little boy and girls room. Their room has sort of a jungle theme, with cute little animals and bright colors. So I designed the colors to match...

One of my favorite songs that my mom use to always sing to me was...

Heavenly Father Loves Me.

So I wanted this song to be apart of my nursery.

The colors I am going with are very simple and neutral, but of course feminine.

I designed this poster that I am going to print out with the first verse lyrics.

I just absolutely love it!

I am so glad to be done with it too. Picking the perfect typography and placing them in just the right spot took more time than I thought!

I hope it looks cute, as I find a perfect frame for it and hang it on the wall.

Once its up and ready to go then I will for sure take pictures and post them!

If any of you want a song, or a verse, or a saying or a simple little phrase designed just let me know! I think it adds such a beautiful, personal touch to any room. Especially if it has a special meaning to you! I just did one for a girl with her little boys nickname, which was so fun!!!

I had the opportunity to put a t-shirt graphic together with the new logo I designed for Balboa Nursing and Rehab Center. They wanted to base the logo around Balboa Park, which just so happens to have an old, architecturally defined tower. So using the picture above as inspiration... I designed something that had an old authentic 'balboa' park feel to it.

Just finished up a flyer for some beautiful new apartments built in the Utah area. They wanted to go with a very rustic, tuscany feel. There are four different versions, each with a different floor plan. Then the back design is the same all around. It was a really fun design to work on and they loved the way it turned out (after a few changes here and there). Phew. Very fun!

A while back, my dear friend Heidi wanted me to design an invitation for a baby shower she was throwing. She wanted it to be simple, and classy. The mom to be is very simple, but fun. Jessica is a great photographer who loved swirls, fun but modern colors and wanted something new and crisp. With some brainstorming and ideas...I came up with this new look.

Just finished up another blog design for Misha, but this time it was for her photography business...She is just great to work with!

Her name is so pretty and I thought it would be good to keep it simple

and unique and just use her name in the logo...

it reminded me of japanese cherry blossoms...

don't know why but it did.

Just designed a family blog header for Misha...she loves owls and I found this towel on anthropologie's website and I thought it would be PERFECT to use it as inspiration. She wanted a Daddy owl, a mommy owl and a baby owl representing their little family. Such a fun one to design!

Just designed a very fun, and playful blog for Jill. Her friend wanted to surprise her with it and so it was a secret all throughout the design. I hope you like it Jill...and Macy what a great surprise! Thanks for the fun project! Love the title of it...six jills and one jack...that is like my family! Its so fun to have all sisters! Jill loves to scrapbook...and this was one of the projects she did that was featured in a magazine...this too was a big inspiration for the blog header design.

My little niece is turning 1 years old! So I designed a fun invite for her first birthday party! Her mom wanted bright colors...and bright colors is what I did! How cute is she in that little tu-tu!?! You just want to eat her up!

the theme is Alice in Wonderland...

this invite is 8x5 and it will be going in a big 9x6 vintage looking envelope...
